MANILA – Last month, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim and Richard Yap got a flattering offer from no less than American actor and director Bill Duke to work on an international project.
Without disclosing any details, Duke sent the three Kapamilya stars a tweet saying he would like to have lunch with them when they stop by Los Angeles “to discuss and explore international #spymovie.”
Lim and Yap immediately responded to Duke’s offer and expressed their excitement over this possible collaboration.
“Thanks (Bill Duke) it would be an honor to meet you,” said Yap.
“Looking forward to the project big time. Direct messaged you also! Thank you again,” said Lim.
While Gil did not publicly reply to the tweet, Duke told a netizen on Friday that his team already met with Gil’s group.
Still, Duke offered no details about what transpired in the meeting or anything about their possible project.
Duke is known for his roles in "Commando" and "Predator." He had also directed a number of films including “Deep Cover,” “A Rage in Harlem” and “Sister Act 2” among others.
