MANILA – Julia Barretto is not ashamed of being tagged as a stage sister.
On Monday, she declared in her social media accounts how proud she is of her younger sister Claudia, who has already started recording for her debut album.
On Twitter, Julia reposted a picture shared by Universal Records showing Claudia inside a recording studio. In the caption, Julia wrote: “GO BABY!”
She reposted the same photo on her Instagram page where she wrote a more touching message for her sister.
“My pretty one is finally following her dreams. I can't wait for everyone to hear your beautiful voice,” she said.
Claudia signed a recording contract with Universal Records earlier this month.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said in a video posted on the Facebook page of Universal Records, adding, “I decided that it was time to start making music.”
Claudia said people can expect her songs to be a mix of pop and RnB, and is hoping to have the chance to work with Yeng Constantino and Sam Concepcion.
When asked how Julia reacted to her decision to be part of the local music scene, the younger Barretto replied: “She was so happy because she’s wanted this dream for me as much as I wanted it.”
Julia and Claudia are Marjorie Barretto’s daughters with actor Dennis Padilla.
