MANILA - ABS-CBN's "Dyesebel" remained the No. 1 show in the Philippines on Monday despite a new rival show on GMA-7, according to Kantar Media.
The fantaserye starring Anne Curtis in the title role garnered a nationwide rating of 32.6% last May 26. This is 15 percentage-points higher than the audience share of "Niño," which only got 17.1% on the same day.
The strong viewership of "Dyesebel" in recent weeks is an improvement over its average audience share in April, which was at 29.5%. Even then, the primetime series topped the list of the most watch programs in the country for the month.
In the most recent episodes of "Dyesebel," the mermaid-turned-human earns the ire of Betty (Andi Eigenmann) over her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Fredo (Gerald Anderson).
Directed by Don Cuaresma, Francis Pasion, and Darnel Villaflor, "Dyesebel" airs weeknights after "TV Patrol" during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block.
