MANILA, Philippines - To express her appreciation to all the stars and personalities who helped her brother, president-apparent Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III during the campaign, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino released a "thank you" issue of her magazine "The Kris Aquino Magazine (K Magazine)."
In her cover story “Forever Grateful,” which Kris wrote 25 hours after the election, Kris reflects on her campaign experience and looks forward to the beginning of a new and different life.
“I am mentioning people who are famous and made their stand known. There are many more I should be thanking but I know that I must respect their privacy regardless of my desire to shout at the top of my voice my extreme gratitude for all they did for us,” wrote Kris.
In no particular order, Kris started her article by thanking singer-composer Ogie Alcasid for composing senator Aquino's campaign jingle which was performed by Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez.
"Ogie's enthusiasm and dedication, coupled with a superb musical gift, have been a tremendous boost and blessing to Noynoy," Kris said.
She also thanked DJ MOD, Teddy Corpuz of Rocksteddy and director Bobet Vidanes who were all behind the senator's upbeat jingle.
"I'm most appreciative of their voluntary effort to give Noy a song, with the bonus of him rapping," she said.
Kris also thanked Prince of Indie Coco Martin who was also very active campaigning for the senator while shooting the film "Noy."
Aside from her showbiz bestfriend, King of Talk Boy Abunda, Kris was also grateful to Dingdong Dantes, Aljur Abrenica, Ai Ai delas Alas and Pokwang for helping out during the campaign.
Kris especially mentioned in her article that it was Star for All Seasons and Batangas governor Vilma Santos who was the most credible presidential endorser. Vilma came out in a TV commercial endorsing Noynoy.
"Ate Vi managed to convey that the people were one with Noy, and he drew strength from our collective support and in turn we draw inspirations from his fight for our country's future," Kris explained.
