A teen singer who is lacking in confidence because of how her classmates would always unfairly compare her with her sister (who also sings, she shares) has found an ally against bullies.
None other than Regine Velasquez herself said that she could relate to the story of "Idol Philippines" hopeful Fatima Louise, 18.
Velasquez recalled the time when she also drew similar unflattering comparisons, and said that the best way to silence critics was to sing even more and show them that you have talent.
"You don't need to feel insecure," Velasquez told Louise, before giving her audition where she sang "The Edge of Glory" a yes, one of the 4 she received to win a ticket to the next round of the contest.
This makes Louise one of the singers who passed their "Idol Philippines" following stints in other talent contests. She was a contestant of "The Voice Teens" in 2017.
