MANILA - Pop star Sarah Geronimo has pulled out of the lineup for a local music festival due to "medical reasons," it was announced on Wednesday.
The former "The Voice Kids" coach was booked to perform at the MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016, organized by MTV Asia in collaboration with the Philippines Tourism Promotion Board.
She was set to appear alongside American pop rock band One Republic and Kapamilya stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
Moments after the "disappointing" announcement, MTV Asia revealed that American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and Korean girl group Apink will join the lineup of the music fest to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena concert grounds on June 24.
Rexha is best known for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj, "No Broken Hearts." Apink, on the other hand, is an award-winning pop group composed of members Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jung Eun-ji, Son Na-eun, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young.
