American singer David Archuleta thanked his Filipino fans following his “unbelievable” back-to-back concert with David Cook in Manila Saturday night.
In a video uploaded on YouTube, Archuleta said both he and Cook were grateful to the thousands of people who watched their show at SM Mall of Asia.
“It was unbelievable… it was so incredible. I can’t believe how many came to see the show. Just want to say thank you so much, to all the fans who came. To all the Filipino fans, both David Cook and I appreciate it so much. Just want to thank you, guys, from both of us. I can’t say salamat enough for the amazing time we had here (Philippines),” Archuleta said.
A report said around 50,000 fans trooped to the concert grounds of SM Mall of Asia to catch a glimpse of the two “American Idol” stars.
Cook sang songs from his album as well his versions of "The World I Know," "Heroes" and his chart-topping cover of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby."
Archuleta also sang songs from his album as well as "Stand By Me,” which he performed on “American Idol.”
Most of the concert-goers said they followed the careers of the two Davids since they joined “American Idol” season 7 last year.
Archuleta said he and Cook would never forget their experience in the Philippines. He said the two of them had a great time in the country.
He also thanked his fans in Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom. With a report from ANC
