MANILA, Philippines -- Hollywood action star Vin Diesel said he will ask Universal Pictures to shoot one of the upcoming "Fast & Furious" movies in the Philippines.
Diesel revealed that he expects to do three more "Fast & Future" movies after the sixth installment hits theaters.
"Our tour here was so incredible that when I go back to LA and when we start doing, developing 7, 8, 9, I will tell Universal that I want to shoot in the Philippines. That is because of you," Diesel said during the premiere night of "Fast & Furious 6" at SM Mall of Asia on Wednesday.
"This is the best premiere I've ever been to in my life. As you know my sister-in-law is from the Philippines and she told me to say this: 'Mahal ko kayo,'" Diesel told the crowd.
The successful action franchise has filmed in international locations before, notably the third movie, "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" released in 2006.
"Fast Five," meanwhile, was set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In previous interviews, Diesel mentioned that the upcoming "Fast & Furious" movies may shoot in Egypt and Greece.
Just as he did in his media interviews, Diesel on Wednesday again praised the Philippines, describing the country as "magical."
"This really is a magical country. The people have been so warm with us and so loving us. I don't think the world realizes how special the Philippines is. It really is special," Diesel said.
Joining Diesel in gracing the premiere night were his "Fast & Furious 6" co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano and Luke Evans. Producer Neil Moritz was also present.
