Park Ji Hoon, a South Korean actor who appeared in the 2017 drama, "Chicago Typewriter," has died of complications from stomach cancer, his family announced this Thursday, via social media. He was 31.
According to the family's post, Ji Hoon, who was also a model, passed away due to gastric cancer last May 11.
"We are leaving a separate post because we are afraid that people who are unable to contact him may think it is a mistake," the post, as translated by several reports online, read.
"Thank you everyone for your comfort and encouragement despite the ongoing spread of coronavirus [COVID-19]. Thanks to you all I was able to send my younger brother to heaven," it added.
His family also left details of his wake.
Ji Hoon is best known for his role in "Chicago Typewriter," a tvN series which ran from April to June 2017.
