MANILA – The showbiz-oriented talk show “The Buzz” will be returning this Sunday on the Kapamilya network after “Buzz ng Bayan” aired its final episode last weekend.
According to a YouTube clip posted by ABS-CBN on Wednesday, the the new program will be titled “The Buzz 15” in celebration of the show's 15th anniversary.
While the network has yet to reveal its hosts, Carmina Villarroel admitted on Thursday that she will no longer be part of it since she will now focus on acting.
“Thank you po sa lahat ng sumuporta sa ‘Buzz ng Bayan.’ Next week is different naman, but it’s still the same, it’s still ‘The Buzz.’ Kung ano 'yung suporta niyo nung una pa lang hanggang ngayon, sana tuluy-tuloy pa rin,” she said.
Villarroel shared that she will soon be working on another television series and will occasionally co-host “Kris TV.”
It was in October last year when “The Buzz” bade farewell to viewers. The program was then hosted by Boy Abunda, Toni Gonzaga and Charlene Gonzales.
Abunda, however, continued to host “Buzz ng Bayan” with Villarroel and Janice De Belen.
