MANILA — Cast as Teddie Salazar in the prequel to "Four Sisters and a Wedding," Charlie Dizon has finally come face to face with the character's original actress, at least virtually.
Dizon was one of the guests in the pilot episode of "I Feel U," an online talk show hosted by Toni Gonzaga.
Gonzaga portrayed Teddie in the 2013 modern classic from Star Cinema and director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
A prequel, titled "Four Sisters Before the Wedding," was announced to be in production with Giselle Andres as director in February.
Portraying the rest of the sisters are Alexa Ilacad as Bobbie (originally played by Bea Alonzo), Gillian Vicencio as Alex (Angel Locsin), and Belle Mariano as Gabbie (Shaina Magdayao).
Dizon, along with Vicencio, faced Gonzaga via video chat in the Sunday debut of "I Feel U."
Asked whether she feels pressured over getting the role of Teddie, Dizon told Gonzaga: "Sobra po, lalo na kaharap namin kayo ngayon! Sobrang nakaka-pressure po, kasi ang galing niyo po nag-portray doon sa movie."
Gonzaga then shared words of encouraged for both young talents.
"Just know we are all very excited sa prequel na ito at lahat kami talaga nag-aabang," she said.
During the interview, clips of fans reenacting memorable scenes from "Four Sisters and a Wedding" were shown, with Dizon and Vicencio voting on a winner.
"Dadami pa 'yan lalo," Gonzaga said, referring to the enduring popularity of "Four Sisters and a Wedding," especially on social media.
"Kayo naman ang gagayahin!"
