MANILA - Young singer Darren Espanto admitted in a television interview that he has a crush on actress Kathryn Bernardo.
Espanto made the statement on Friday's episode of ABS-CBN's newest morning show, "Magandang Buhay".
The show is co-hosted by Karla Estrada, the mother of Bernardo's love team partner and rumored boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.
"Wait lang... Si Ate Kathryn talaga," the young singer replied when asked about his showbiz crush.
"Since 'Goin' Bulilit' pa lang ay pinapanood ko na siya. At 'yung Super Inggo,'" Espanto added, referring to the ABS-CBN kiddie gag show and the defunct superhero series, respectively.
Espanto, who is turning 15 this May 24, is being linked to teen star Andrea Brillantes and Cassy Legaspi, daughter of actress Carmina Villaroel and actor Zoren Legaspi.
"Pero friendship muna ngayon si Cassy at saka si Andrea Brillantes," he said.
Espanto is gearing up for a concert billed as "D Total Experience" on June 25 at the KIA Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
