SPOTTED: Deniece Cornejo 8 months after bail

MANILA - Eight months after she posted bail, controversial model Deniece Cornejo was spotted Tuesday at a media-attended event organized for American R&B singer Peabo Bryson.

Cornejo was detained for four months until September last year after being charged with serious illegal detention by Vhong Navarro. Her two rape complaints against the actor-host were also junked.

Since posting bail, Cornejo has kept a low profile and diverted her attention to painting and online selling.

Cornejo was among the guests at a welcome party for Bryson, who held a concert Wednesday night at Resorts World Manila.

Speaking with ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual, Cornejo said she has been busy attending an acting workshop at the Philippine Educational Theater Association and will have her recital soon.
