MANILA, Philippines -- Radio personality and showbiz columnist Tita Swarding, who is known for his popular on-air greeting "Ola Chika!", passed away early Sunday. He was 60 years old.

Tita Swarding, whose real name is Romulo Espeña, died due to complications of emphysema at Quezon City General Hospital, his daughter Guyrich announced Sunday noon.
Espeña had been hospitalized several times before he succumbed to the lung condition.
The showbiz reporter and veteran radio announcer, whose career spans decades, made a name for himself after hosting several showbiz-oriented radio programs.
His remains lie in Quezon City, Guyrich said.
