Their friendship didn't exactly get off on the right foot.
But Angelica Panganiban on Tuesday stood by an Instagram post she shared where she said that she and Angel Locsin are in for a "happy ending."
Panganiban opened up about the difficult start their relationship had in a story conference held to announce her newest movie with Locsin. She admitted that she thought her newest co-star was "OA" back when they first got close.
"Sabi ko, 'Sobrang bait naman nito.' Parang hindi talaga totoo noon,' " she said. "Ang daming ginagawa, asikaso ng asikaso, sobrang bait. Pero iyon pala, ganoon pala talaga siya. Nakakatuwa."
Prodded by reporters to elaborate on their previous spat, she only said: "Doon mo siguro nakita iyong magic ng lahat. Parang may mga bagay na hindi naman sa umpisa eh para bang perfect na perfect kayo para sa isa't isa bilang magkaibigan."
She continued by saying that both of them learned from the experience and explained: "I believe parehas kaming natuto sa mga hindi magandang nangyari sa amin. I think kung hindi kami natuto, hindi kami aabot sa ganito --parehong mature na para gumawa ng isang proyekto na magkasama."
According to director Nuel Naval, Locsin and Panganiban's new movie will be about sisters-in-law who find themselves torn apart by accusations of infidelity. It will also star Richard Gutierrez.
This is Locsin and Panganiban's first movie together since 2012.
