MANILA - Actress Jodi Sta. Maria, star of the hit ABS-CBN daytime series "Be Careful with My Heart," said she has no plans of entering politics.

Sta. Maria, who is in a relationship with Cavite vice-governor Jolo Revilla, said she believes she can help other people without being a public official.

The actress is currently busy helping survivors of super typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) via the World Health Organization's Health at the Heart of Healing campaign.

"Ang lagi kong paniniwala ay makakatulong ako sa ibang tao sa ibang paraan, hindi sa pagpasok sa pulitika," Sta. Maria explained in an interview on "Headstart" on Friday. "It's not my cup of tea."

"Alam kong makakatulong ako sa sarili kong paraan. Hindi naman ako kailangang mag-assume ng posisyon sa isang public office para gawin 'yon," she added.

Sta. Maria is the estranged wife of Pampi Lacson, son of former senator Panfilo Lacson. They have a son named Thirdy.

When asked if she and Revilla already have plans of settling down, the actress said: "No, I have so much more to do. Hindi siya priority. [But] I am happy."
