The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is now accepting entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival.

There are two ways for interested applicants to join this year's Full-Length Film category. One is by submitting a script, and another is by presenting a finished movie.

Four entries will be picked out from the script submissions, and another four from the finished films lot completing the eight official entries for the annual film festival.

This new rule is in pursuit of "both artistic excellence and audience appeal that can equate to more benefits to its target industry beneficiaries," the MMDA explained.

The announcement of the selected entries is set on November 17. More details can be found on the official Facebook page of the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Meanwhile, entries to the Short Film category should be submitted by September 1. The announcement of the selected entries for this category will be on September 29.

Letters of intent by filmmakers and producers joining this year should be given on or before Wednesday.
