MANILA – Jodi Sta. Maria admitted she felt a bit awkward when she and Gabby Concepcion filmed their intimate scene together for the upcoming movie “Man and Wife.”

Sta. Maria said it happened on the first day of their shooting and she didn’t know how to go about it since it was only their first time working together.

“Naloka talaga ako. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya hahawakan or paano ko siya hahalikan. Kailangan lang namin ulitin yung eksena para mas mapaganda pa and maipakita na they are really comfortable with each other and they really missed each other,” she said.

She, nonetheless, praised Concepcion for being a true gentleman.

“First time namin nakapagtrabaho tapos hindi pa ako nakakapag-warm up kay Gabby tapos intimate scene na kaagad yung nangyari. Pero I must say na napaka-gentleman niya. Mararamdaman mo na walang taking advantage and talagang nakaalalay siya,” she said.

According to Sta. Maria, their intimate scene is really a memorable one because it is “one of the very, very few that I’ve done.” The last one that she did was in 2015 for the ABS-CBN series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo.”

When asked if it is her rule not to have intimate scenes in the projects she accept, she said: “Nagkakataon kasi na yung mga project na ginagawa ko, hindi naman din nagre-require. Pero siyempre may mga project katulad nito na kailangan. Alangan namang man and wife kayo, magtititigan lang kayo? Mag-jack and poy lang kayo?”
