MANILA – Aside from an upcoming movie with Gerald Anderson, Bea Alonzo is also returning to TV this year with another series.
“I’ll do a teleserye with Ian Veneracion and Iza Calzado and Julia Barretto and Enchong (Dee). It’s going to be exciting,” she said.
While no other details about the project have been revealed yet, Alonzo said she will start taping “almost at the same time na ginagawa ko ang pelikula [namin ni Gerald].”
Meanwhile, Alonzo also vowed to support the new movie of her former leading man, John Lloyd Cruz.
Cruz and Jennylyn Mercado star in “Just the 3 of Us,” which will open in Philippine theaters on May 4.
“Oo naman [susuportahan ko]. Sila ni direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) yan eh. Oo naman, I think it’s going to be a great movie. Papanoorin ko. Kapag si direk Cathy yan, definitely maganda,” she said.
Molina was the one who directed Alonzo and Cruz’s blockbuster films “One More Chance” and “A Second Chance.”
When asked directly if she and Cruz indeed dated, Alonzo said: “No, we are friends. Nothing has changed.”
As to possibly falling in love again, Alonzo said: “Kahit naman sabihin natin na huwag muna, magpahinga muna, hindi naman natin alam kung kailan darating. I can’t really say that.”
Alonzo was previously in a relationship with Zanjoe Marudo. The actor only confirmed their breakup just last January.
Despite this, Alonzo said: “We are friends. Hindi naman siya bad break up. We still talk.”
