MANILA – It has been almost six years since he last appeared in a Kapamilya series, and Jolo Revilla is thrilled to be acting on television again.
Currently, the actor-politician can be seen in the top-rating show “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” starring Coco Martin.
His last TV series with ABS-CBN was “My Binondo Girl” starring Kim Chiu in 2012.
“Actually mas lalo pa akong na-excite tapos natutuwa at nagagalak dahil binigyan tayo ng pagkakataon na makabalik ulit,” he said on “Magandang Buhay” when asked if he’s having a hard time adjusting to the demands of acting once again.
Revilla said he and Coco Martin are very good friends, and he did not need a lot of convincing when he was offered the role.
“Siyempre si Coco matagal na nating kaibigan iyan. Iyong first launching film ko noon, iyong Agimat, magkasama kami doon. Tinanggap niya ang pagkakontrabida sa akin kahit maliit iyong role. Kumbaga, siyempre nagpapasalamat tayo sa kanya dahil alam natin na ang lakas ng show niya at talagang maganda naman,” he said.
Was it Martin who personally invited him to join the show?
“Actually nagkita kami sa airport. Sabi niya, ‘Guest kita ha? Guest kita!’ Sabi ko, ‘Thank you, thank you!’ Nahanapan na daw niya ako ng role,” Revilla narrated.
Despite being back in showbiz, Revilla said his constituents in Cavite need not worry that he might neglect his duties to the province.
“Nagi-give way naman ang show kung may kailangan akong puntahan sa province,” he said.
