MANILA, Philippines – Actress Cristine Reyes remains tight-lipped about the libel case filed against her by older sister, Ara Mina.

Reyes evaded questions about Mina, saying she went on a vacation in Boracay island to spend time with her friends.

“Basta have fun lang. Like what they say, you only live once so live life to the fullest,” she said.

According to Mina’s lawyer, Reyes asked her older sister to turn over her sports utility vehicle as payment for the remaining P1.8-million balance for a Quezon City townhouse they bought for their mother last year.

Mina claimed that Reyes has also been attacking her through text messages.

“Nag-start lang nung sinabi ko na mag-usap tayo kasi marami akong naririnig na sinasabi mo,” Mina said. “Tapos nag-freak out na siya. ‘Wag na raw ako mag-text kung wala akong magandang sasabihin.”

“Tapos tuluy-tuloy na, hindi ko siya sinasagot. Buong Holy Week, hindi niya ako tinantanan. Hanggang ngayon nagte-text siya sa sister-in-law ko. Pati ibang tao dinadamay na niya,” she added.

Mina said she was pushed to sue Reyes when she felt her dignity as a sister and as a person was stepped on by the alleged threats.

On Rayver

Reyes, meanwhile, denied reports that she and boyfriend Rayver Cruz have split up.

A lot of people kept asking the “Dahil Sa Pag-ibig” star if she and Cruz have already parted ways since the actor is not with her in Boracay.

“Super okay kami ni Ray. Ang daming nagtatanong kasi wala siya rito. Eh trip naman ito ng mga friends ko. Siya kasi nagkaroon sila ng trip sa New York kasama sina Gerald and Enchong,” she said.

Reyes said she is looking forward to be reunited with Cruz again as the actor just arrived from the Star Magic tour in the United States.

Despite being hounded by controversies, Reyes said she’d rather focus on her work and use her latest recognition as an inspiration.

Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation's 43rd Box-Office Entertainment Awards recently named Reyes as the Box Office Queen along with actress Anne Curtis, while their leading man Derek Ramsay was named the Box Office King.

“So far iyon ang biggest achievement ko this year, so I'm very very thankful kay God kasi hindi ko naman hiniling to... thank you sa lahat na nagsuporta ng 'No Other Woman,’” she said. – Reports from ANC and Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
