MANILA -- Filipino fans of Jason Mraz are in for an extra treat when they catch the hitmaker's concert in Manila next month.

Not only will they enjoy some of the best ear candy around (rare is a singer who does smile-inducing soft rock better), they will also get to be one of the first ones to hear Mraz's new, soon-to-be-released song -- a collaboration with a Filipina artist.

"She'll be joining me at the concert in Manila so we can perform our song together which is very exciting," he shared in an exclusive interview with Push published this Tuesday.

That artist is Reneé Dominique, a Pinay singer who grew to fame after her cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" was featured in a commercial for one of the world's biggest smartphone makers.

"She's an artist on the rise," Mraz said of Dominique, whose voice he described as "angelic" and "heavenly." He gushed: "It didn’t sound connected to any particular region on the planet."

Their collaboration was made through the Internet and is set to be released this summer in the US, revealed Mraz.

Mraz will be performing at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 8. It is part of his ongoing world tour promoting his sixth album, "Know."
