'Idol Philippines': Teen uses talent to look for missing dad

MANILA - She joined "Idol Philippines" to look for her missing father, and wowed the judges in the process.

Sixteen-year-old Angie Kristine from Siargao is the third contestant to receive the coveted "golden ticket" from the judges of "Idol Philippines" on Sunday's pilot episode.

She performed Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts."

"You're a complete package. Ang ganda ng boses mo, magaling kang kumanta at ang ganda ng hitsura mo. Ang ganda ng future mo," Vice Ganda told Angie.

"The way you hit the notes, it was so clean, like you really hit the notes. Wow, so you're really born with that talent. That's amazing," James Reid added.

Angie received four "yesses" from the judges and will be competing in the next round.

Hosted by Billy Crawford, "Idol Philippines" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
