MANILA - Luis Manzano was moved to tears as he came face-to-face with the new set of "Lucky Stars" introduced in Monday's episode of "Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal," which he hosts.

In celebration of his "birthday month" -- Manzano will turn 34 on Tuesday -- people connected to him were tapped as briefcase holders. They include Manzano's long-time friends, loyal supporters, assistants, his fitness coach and contestants of past shows he has hosted, among others.

As the 20 "Lucky Stars" performed the signature dance routine to open the episode, Manzano could not hold his tears and thanked them for agreeing to guest on the show.

Manzano was also not informed who would be the studio player for the day.

His best friend and past onscreen partner, "It's Showtime" co-host Anne Curtis, emerged on stage after he called on the mystery contestant.

The 30-year-old actress ended up taking home only P1 after rejecting all offers from the ominous "Banker."
