MANILA – The latest movie of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla has earned P100 million in just four days since it opened in Philippine cinemas.
These figures were announced by Star Cinema on Wednesday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Padilla and Bernardo admitted they are overwhelmed by the positive feedback they have been receiving over “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
“Nakakatuwa tuwing sinasabi nila na naka-connect sila sa storya at napasaya sila ng pelikula. Sobrang sarap gumawa ng pelikula na nagustuhan ng mga tao,” Padilla said.
Bernardo, for her part, said this is the best birthday gift he and Padilla have received.
“Sobra sobra pa. Ito ang gusto namin talaga, na maging successful 'yung movie and masaya kami sa result,” she said.
Nonetheless, Padilla said they are not really after setting box-office records.
“Wala naman tayong goal sa kita. Hindi naman natin iniisip yung kita dito. Mas more on kung nagustuhan ng tao,” he said.
“Can’t Help Falling in Love” is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and it also stars Matteo Guidicelli.
