The graduation season has just finished and a new school year will begin again for many students in no time.

While some actors and actresses didn’t get the chance to finish their studies because of their work commitments, there are also a number of them who finished school with flying colors.

Here's a look at those celebrities who excelled when they were still students.

1. Shamcey Supsup

Before competing in the Miss Universe pageant in 2011, Shamcey Supsup graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Architecture at the University of the Philippines. She also topped the 2010 Architect Licensure Examination.

2. Tippy Dos Santos

Tippy Dos Santos studied Family Life and Child Development at the University of the Philippines. Back in high school, she finished class salutatorian when she graduated from Reedley International School in 2012.

3. Agot Isidro

Actress Agot Isidro graduated magna cum laude with in Fashion Buying and Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Prior to that, she took Masters in Communication at the Ateneo de Manila University and finished her undergraduate degree in Interior Design at the University of the Philippines.

4. Giselle Sanchez

Giselle Sanchez graduated magna cum laude with a degree in AB Broadcast Communication at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

5. Sitti Navarro

Bossa nova singer Sitti Navarro graduated with a degree in Business Economics at the University of the Philippines in 2005. She was also said to be a dean’s lister back in college.

6. Carla Abellana

Actress Carla Abellana earned her degree in Psychology at the De La Salle University where she graduated cum laude.

7. Melanie Marquez

“A Love to Last” actress Melanie Marquez graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration from the International Academy of Management and Economics.

8. Aldred Gatchalian

“PBB Teen Edition 1” housemate Aldred Gatchalian graduated as the class valedictorian when he was in high school. He then enrolled at the University of the Philippines’ Open University Program where he took Associate Studies in Arts.

9. Paula Peralejo

Former actress Paula Peralejo graduated magna cum laude with a degree in BA Philosophy, Minor in Tourism at the Universe of the Philippines Diliman in 2008.

10. Nikki Gil

Nikki Gil went to Shekinah Christian Training Center in high school where she graduated valedictorian. She eventually finished college at the Ateneo de Manila University.
