MANILA, Philippines -- Julia Barretto said she is unaffected by rumors of a brewing feud involving her mother Marjorie and aunts Claudine and Gretchen.

The 16-year-old was asked on the matter at the sidelines of the premiere night of the film "Coming Soon" on Tuesday.

"Siguro kung may makaka-answer niyan, it's my titas and my mom themselves. I'm not in the right position," Julia told reporters.

Last Saturday, entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz said he hopes that a rumored tiff between Marjorie and Gretchen, and their youngest sister Claudine will be ironed out soon.

Diaz, during a live telecast of "Showbiz Inside Report," brought up comments allegedly made by Gretchen in a post on the image-sharing service Instagram, which supposedly criticized her Claudine.

The alleged comments on Instagram of both Gretchen and Marjorie, which supposedly addressed their youngest sister, have since been deleted.

"I'm not affected, kasi for me marami na akong narinig na rumors, marami na kaming napagdaanan as a family, and we surpassed them all, and we're okay now," Julia said of the rumored feud.

She added: "Whatever trial may come our way, for sure kaya naming lagpasan 'yon. We have to stay positive, life is too short!"

Last year, Claudine and Gretchen reportedly reconciled after years of estrangement, which stemmed from a feud among their family members and in-laws.

Career launch

Considered "showbiz royalty" thanks to her celebrity mom and aunts, Julia was launched early this year as a member of Star Magic Circle 2013, a group of young artists groomed for stardom by the talent management firm of ABS-CBN.

Claudine, whose career now spans over 20 years, was among the first "discoveries" of Star Magic, and went on to become arguably the most popular and visible actress of her generation at her peak.

Asked whether she feels pressured from being a Barretto, Julia said, "I think it's both an advantage and a disadvantage. Pero you know what, think positive. I don't want to think about the disadvantage."

"There may be pressure, pero I will use this as an advantage para galingan kong umarte, so 'yun," she said.

Julia, who has cited Claudine's career path as her "ideal" showbiz route, said she is thrilled to finally star in a "teleserye" of her own.

"Hopefully this year I can be able to act na, so that mapakita ko rin 'yung matagal ko nang gustong gawin, which is to act. I'm very excited. Sana this year sana magka-show na talaga," she said.
