MANILA - For the latest major team-up, James Reid and Nadine Lustre will portray Filipino workers in the United States who are forced to marry to be allowed to stay in the country.
Reid shared details of his upcoming TV series, Dreamscape's "On The Wings of Love," on the sidelines of a press event held by men's care line Axe launching its new endorsers on Wednesday.
According to the "Pinoy Big Brother" winner, parts of the series will be shot in San Francisco, where the main story is set. Filming will star in May, he added.
Although he teased that "On The Wings of Love" will be aired "very soon," Reid did not give a premiere date.
Last week, Reid and Lustre started filming a teaser for the series under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone, who is behind "That Thing Called Tadhana" and "You're My Boss."
Aside from "On The Wings of Love," the tandem is gearing up for the release of their third major film together, "Para Sa Hopeless Romantic," co-starring Julia Barretto and Inigo Pascual.
Meanwhile, Reid expressed dismay with people claiming to be fans of "JaDine" -- his tandem with Lustre -- who attack other love teams on social media, specifically that of teen superstars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
The heartthrob performer stressed that he is on good terms with both Padilla and Bernardo, whom he sees regularly at the ABS-CBN compound. He appealed to his supporters to stop fighting other fans, saying it reflects negatively on his tandem with Lustre.
