MANILA, Philippines (4th UPDATE) -- Police on Saturday released the computerized illustration of one of the suspects in the stabbing of veteran actress Pilar Pilapil.

“Ito po ang description na ibinigay ni Miss Pilar Pilapil sa ating crime laboratory illustration expert,” Senior Superintendent Joel Napoleon Coronel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Task Force Pilar told the press.

Pix of suspect in Pilapil case out 1“Lalaki, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet and 8 inches, malaki ang katawan, dark complexion at nakasuot ng white shirt and dark pants. Tagalog ang salita,” Coronel added.

Police investigators are looking at 3 angles in Thursday night's stabbing of veteran actress Pilar Pilapil: kidnapping, robbery, and carjacking.

Pilapil is reportedly now out of danger but needs to undergo a number of medical treatments due to her injuries.

The police officer said that, based on the actress' statement to the authorities, 2 unidentified men forcibly boarded her Kia car while she and her companion were traveling along FVR Road in Marikina City.

“Nang bumabaybay po sila ng FVR Road going to Marikina Riverbanks, mayroon pong dalawang lalaki na bigla pong tumakbo sa tagiliran ng kanilang sasakyan at sapilitan pong pumasok. Noong pumasok na po sa sasakyan ay hinila [nila] si Ms. Pilar papunta sa likod ng upuan. Dinaganan siya at doon po sinimulan siyang takpan at nagsisigaw sa kanila na huwag papalag at lalaban,” said Coronel.

Coronel said they have yet to get the complete medical update from the hospital to determine the number of stabs the actress sustained. Pilapil disclosed to the police that the suspects used an ice pick to stab her.

Coronel also clarified that the name of Pilapil’s companion is Roselle Jakosalem Peñas. She is the niece of Pilar's husband, Bernie Peñas.

The authorities said though they do not yet consider Peñas as a suspect since the crime appears to be a spontaneous act.

Meanwhile, Vice President Jejomar Binay also visited Pilapil in the hospital.

Binay said he does not have a close personal relationship with Pilapil, but because of the gravity of what happened, he decided to check on the actress.

“This is a time na ang mga taong ganyan kailangan ng suporta. So sabi ko ‘wag ka mag-alala, iso-solve ito ng pulis,” Binay said.

Based on the information gathered by ABS-CBN News, the PNP is still trying to figure out the bigger picture of the crime.

“We’ve assembled a task group composed of investigators and specialists from the units of PNP. We hope we can solve this case in due time,” said Chief Supt. Samuel Pagdilao, CIDG chief. -- Reports from Dennis Datu and Johnson Manabat, radio dzMM and Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
