MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's newest rising star Empress Schuck shared her excitement about her first television series "Rosalka."
At a press conference, Schuck, dubbed as the "Empress of Drama," turned emotional as she shared her thoughts about the series.
Schuck said she's really happy with the break given to her by the network.
"Masayang masaya po talaga. May pressure, pero masaya kasi ito na, malapit na," Schuck said.
In the series, Schuck plays the role of Rosalka, a hunchback who faces a lot of challenges because of her physical disability. Rosalka is also torn between two lovers in the series.
Schuck said the hardest part playing her role was wearing prosthetics.
"Mahirap po pero okay lang po, kasi para din po yon sa ikakaganda ng role ko," she said.
Also part of the TV series are actors Felix Roco and Matt Evans.
Empress, 19, has been acting on the small and big screen for almost 10 years.
Empress was part of Maalaala Mo Kaya's episodes which have wide-ranging roles and character sketches.
Empress earned her first acting award when she was only 17. She was hailed Best Child Actress for her performance in the movie "9 Mornings" with actor Piolo Pascual.
She also gained positive feedback when she played the role of Cecilia in the TV remake of "Underage" in ABS-CBN's "Your Song" TV series.
