MANILA – Kapamilya singer Juris is set to unveil the radio edit of her song “If You Had Asked Me To” on April 17.

Composed by Marion Aunor, the track is under ABS-CBN Musical International.

“It’s a song about reminiscing that part of a relationship when you know it’s about to end. Then eventually you end up letting go of each other, but looking back, you would have stayed if the other person just fought for it more,” Aunor said.

Juris, for her part, said it’s a privilege to give life to a song that tackles a sad reality.

“It's possible for anyone to be in a situation in which a relationship is strangely not where it used to be. Either they are no longer on the same path, or the plans of the other person no longer include you,” she said.

“If You Had Asked Me To” is the next song to be highlighted from Juris' “Here’s My Heart” album released in 2019.

Since inking a deal with Star Music in 2009, Juris has released other hits such as “’Di Lang Ikaw” released in 2010.

She has also recorded the theme songs of Kapamilya series such as “Got to Believe” and “Forevermore.”
