MANILA -- Despite her success in showbiz, Sarah Geronimo admitted that she still wants to return to school.
Geronimo was only 14 years old when she won the TV singing contest "Star for a Night," which paved the way for her phenomenal rise in the entertainment industry.
According to her Wikipedia entry, she finished high school at Angelicum College and holds an Associate in Arts degree from the University of the Philippines Open University.
"Alam naman po 'yan ng VIVA at parents ko at gustong gusto nila 'yan gawin para sa akin," she said about finishing her studies.
"Pero baka next year po kasi ngayon punong puno na (ang schedule)," she told reporters in an interview on Tuesday.
Geronimo admitted that she still hasn't decided what course to take if ever she does enroll again.
"Kasi nandito naman po ako sa linya ng pagiging singer, gusto ko po sana ay 'yung mas makakatulong pa lalo sa akin," said Geronimo, who admitted that she still has a lot of things to do in her career.
"Madami pa po akong gustong matututunan, gustong ibalik sa kung ano ang naibigay sa akin ng mga sumusuporta sa akin. Kasi I feel na sobrang kulang 'yung naibibigay ko sa kanila. Sobra- sobra ang suporta nila," she said.
"As a performer as an artist, I feel responsible na may kailangan pa akong gawin and para sa OPM. Kasi part na tayo ng OPM, ng Philippine music industry, so talagang may obligasyon na tayo," she added.
Does this mean she is not yet thinking of settling down?
"Siyempre naiisip ko. 'Yan namang usapin na ganyan 'di mo malalaman kung kailan darating 'yan. Pero when the right time comes, kapag alam ko na siguradong sigurado na na stable na ako at ready na ako, eh di go," she said.
The singer-actress believes that if the right time comes for her to settle down her career won't be affected.
"Kaya naman po siguro yon," adds Geronimo who is now in a relationship with actor Matteo Guidicelli.
