MANILA – After making a comeback to the music scene with a new tune late last year, the Black Eyed Peas does not intend to go anywhere else.
Maintaining the momentum, the group unveiled last Friday a new single titled “Mamacita” featuring Ozuna and Jessica Reynoso who now goes by her stage name J.Rey Soul.
Ozuna is a Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap superstar known as a four-time Guinness World Record holder and one of the best-selling Latin artists of all-time.
J.Rey Soul, on the other hand, is also a Filipino-American like apl.de.ap who was born and raised in the Philippines. They first met when she joined his team on “The Voice of the Philippines.”
Since then, J.Rey Soul went on to work with the Black Eyed Peas in the band’s "Masters of the Sun Vol. 1." She also joined them in their 2019 European, Latin America and Pacific tour legs.
Along with the single came the music video of “Mamacita” directed by Julien Christian Lutz aka Director X.
