'GGV' beats television return of Kris Aquino
MANILA - If you were excited to see the likes of the always-entertaining Awra Briguela, Xia Vigor, or the dancing sensation AC Bonifacio take the stage one last time for "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids," you weren't alone in your anticipation.
The two-day grand finals of the hit talent competition, where Briguela was hailed the winner, was the most watched show over the weekend, recording a national television rating of 35.3 percent (April 8) and 38.3 percent (April 9).
That's according to Kantar Media's measurement, which uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100 percent of the country's total television viewing population.
The data also revealed that "Maalaala Mo Kaya" was the second most watched show for Saturday, and "Wansapanataym" for Sunday.
It also showed that Vice Ganda's late night talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice" enjoyed an audience share of 13.3 percent, staving off the debut of its direct competition, "Trip ni Kris," which only received 4.7 percent.
