MANILA - OneRepublic are set to perform in the Philippines on June 24.
The American pop rock band, led by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins, will return to the country as part of the MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 -- a music festival organized by MTV in collaboration with the Philippines Tourism Promotion Board (TPB).
The full line-up, as well as the venue, will be announced in the coming months.
OneRepublic last held a concert in the Philippines in 2013. The group, which is set to release their fourth studio album this year, is popular for hits like "Apologize," "Stop and Stare," "Counting Stars," and "If I Lose Myself."
Last year's MTV Music Evolution Manila was topbilled by a mix of international and local names such as Naughty by Nature, YG, DJ Mustard, apl.de.ap, Abra, and Gloc-9. It was held at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park.
According to TPB chief operating officer Domingo Ramon Enerio III, the music festival has become a venue to showcase Filipino acts to a global audience.
"We look forward to welcoming international and regional fans and artists to Manila. And we invite young people to come experience our music culture in the Philippines," Enerio added.
