Reality show to hold final auditions on April 15

MANILA -- The upcoming fifth season of "Pinoy Big Brother" will hold its final auditions next week, producer ABS-CBN announced on Wednesday.

The reality TV show will audition aspiring housemates this coming Tuesday, April 15, starting 7 a.m. at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The auditions will be open to hopefuls 15 to 30 years old. Only the first 10,000 auditionees will be accommodated, ABS-CBN said.

"Pinoy Big Brother" has been holding online and on-ground auditions since October last year, both for its regular edition, for housemates 18 to 35 years old; and its teen edition, for housemates 12 to 17 years old.

During a recent "Twitter hangout" organized by the show's director, Lauren Dyogi, he revealed that the new season will be called "PBB: All In."

As with previous seasons, "All In" will have a primetime telecast as well as afternoon updates dubbed "Über." In addition, there will be two online shows complementing the weekday programs, according to Dyogi.

The show will last for 100 days, as in its first-ever season.

Dyogi added that "All In" will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, John Prats and Slater Young -- all former regular housemates, except for Gonzaga.

"Pinoy Big Brother," which is based on the Endemol-owned format that premiered in Netherlands in 1999, has so far produced 10 "big winners" in the Philippines.

The upcoming season of "Pinoy Big Brother" will mark the 11th edition of the program since it premiered in August 2005.

The last iteration of "Pinoy Big Brother," its fourth teen edition, ended in July 2012. The fifth season of the program was officially announced last September during the finale week of "The Voice of the Philippines."
