MANILA — Comedy superstar Vice Ganda lauded what he described as the heroism of service crew and grocery staff who, like those in the medical field, continue working on the frontlines amid the coronavirus lockdown.

God bless you!" he added.

The Luzon-wide lockdown, which has been extended until April 30, has forced the closure of most business establishments, with the exception of those providing basic necessities such as food and medicine.

That has meant many service industry workers, alongside healthcare workers, carrying on with their duties despite the threat of COVID-19.

Vice Ganda previously saluted healthcare workers for similarly risking their lives, spearheading in late March his own supplies drive across hospitals in Metro Manila.
