MANILA, Philippines - During the Holy Week break, rumors about Manny Pacquiao owning a posh hotel on Boracay Island, known as the West Cove Resort, have resurfaced.
In an exclusive visit of “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” to the infamous hotel proved, however, that it is in fact owned by Manila-based businessman Crisostomo Aquino.
Aquino happens to be a good friend of Pacquiao.
Aquino was also quick to set the record straight when asked about the whole issue.
He explained why a lot of people got the impression that West Cove is owned by the boxer.
Tapos noong blessing namin [back in 2007 pa] si Manny ang nag-sponsor. Nagkataong sinabi noong pari na kay Manny itong hotel kaya kumalat sa buong island na kay Pacquiao ito,” he said.
Aquino did not deny that the speculations have helped him boost his business.
He also shared that he’s already looking forward to his next V.I.P. guest very soon.
Dito ni’yo lang makikitang naka-two piece si Mommy D!” he said. -Rachelle Siazon, ABS-CBN.com
