MANILA -- Diego Loyzaga surprised his fans Thursday by dropping by on Instagram to wish them all well amid the worsening coronavirus situation and to thank the country's frontliners.
"For the ones at the frontline, thank you for being our heroes," the young actor wrote to caption a photo of him walking along a beach.
"I can understand that the most of us would be wishing to be at the beach so I might as well join you! See you all when this is over. Stay safe, we will get through this!" he added.
This was his first post in more than a year.
His last was an ad back in November 2018, a month before he took a break from showbiz to deal with depression.
It was revealed back then that part of his recovery was to totally give up gadgets, which explained his absence from social media.
It remains unclear whether Loyzaga is back, or if his post was just a one-time thing to spread a little cheer to his fans.
He did update his Instagram Stories as well, sharing a clip of him doing a fun exercise routine with his mom, Teresa Loyzaga.
Among those who welcomed his return to Instagram were celebrities Jake Cuenca, Billy Crawford, and Sunshine Cruz, to name a few.
