MANILA - "We are friends." This was the statement of host-actor Luis Manzano when asked about the real score between him and actress Angel Locsin.
After the press conference for ABS-CBN's newest game show "Family Feud", Manzano was asked for his reaction after Locsin referred to him as her "ex" in an Instagram post.
"Ayaw ko nang i-expound talaga kasi nakakahiya sa tao. Masasabihan ako na user. Kumbaga less talk, less mistakes. 'Yun ang sinasabi ng tao sa industriya na ito. Let people say what they want," he said.
When asked if there will be a chance for them to get back together, Manzano replied: "At this point, we are friends. I don't want to add color. Sa lahat ng mga pinagdaanan namin ay magkaibigan kami."
"Siguro for a while [nagkailangan] pero ito, magkaibigan kami. Let's leave it at that. I guess mas gusto namin 'yon kaysa magkaaway kami. So we are friends," he added.
Last week, Manzano and Locsin were seen sharing several light moments on "Pilipinas Got Talent". Manzano is the host of the show, while Locsin is one of the judges.
Manzano admitted that his mother, veteran actress Vilma Santos, is also sad over what happened to his relationship with Locsin.
He said that he is not sure if he is ready to enter into a new relationship.
"Hindi ko alam. I wish I knew, darating din 'yan. Minsan iniisip mo hindi pa ready biglang may darating, or minsan akala mo ready ka na hindi pa pala," he said.
Looking back at what happened between him and Locsin, Manzano said he has learned to "live life."
"Life's too short not to be lived. I think that's what happened with every relationship. 'Yung sinasabi ng tao na kailangan malungkot ka, eh hindi, mahal ko ang buhay ko. Kailangan ba ay gumagapang ako papunta sa trabaho? [After] every relationship, learn to live life," he said.
