MANILA – "Eerie," Star Cinema's horror-thriller movie starring Charo Santos-Concio and Bea Alonzo, has earned P75,252,077.76 million as of April 2.
On Wednesday afternoon, Santos-Concio shared the figures in an Instagram post as she thanked those who supported and watched the film, which opened in cinemas last March 27.
"The entire EERIE team is overjoyed! Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone," she wrote in the caption.
Set in the 1990s, the film centers on a clairvoyant counselor (Bea Alonzo) who investigates a student’s death. The student, at least based on the trailer, appears to have taken her own life, with her ghost lingering in the halls of the school.
Also starring Jake Cuenca and Maxene Magalona, the movie is directed by “Birdshot” director Mikhail Red.
“Eerie” made its world premiere in December 2018 at the Singapore International Film Festival.
