MANILA – Celebrity siblings Ria and Arjo Atayde gave an update about their parents who revealed on Tuesday that they have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a lengthy Instagram post, Ria and Arjo expressed their utmost gratitude to everyone for their overwhelming love and support amid this trying time.

“Although it is difficult and anxiety-inducing knowing that both our parents are positive with COVID-19, all the well wishes and get well soon messages have definitely uplifted our family — especially them,” they said.

One week since their parents had their swab tests done and went into isolation, the two said their mom and dad are slowly getting better.

“Although it’s taking longer than their usual recovery time, we are happy to see them with their spirits still high,” they said.

Ria and Arjo were also glad to have learned “that no one that they have come in contact with before the quarantine and no one else here at home are showing symptoms.”

They then asked their loved ones and followers to continue praying not just for their parents but for everyone fighting the disease, as well as the COVID-19 frontliners.

To end their post, they said: “Please all stay safe, healthy, take your vitamins and stay at home if you have the option.”
