MANILA - As expected, Darren Espanto, Jona and Lani Misalucha wowed the crowd during the highly anticipated Manila leg of “The Aces” concert tour.
The three artists took the center stage of the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday following the back-to-back success of “The Aces” in Visayas and Mindanao last February 2 and March 2, respectively.
For fans who were not able to witness it live, Star Magic got them covered as it uploaded on Instagram several videos from the concert.
During a prior press conference for the concert, Espanto and Jona shared how honored they are to be sharing the stage with Misalucha who is already a music icon.
“We learned so much from her. I am very happy to be able to sing with such an icon in the music industry,” said Espanto.
“When it comes to Jona, as you can see how cute and petite she is, but once she opens her mouth and start a few notes, you cannot avoid not to look at her. She has this amazing voice. Big voice in a tiny frame. That’s how amazing it is,” Misalucha said of her co-performer.
Yung boses niya, parang hindi galing sa 17-year-old young man. Malamig pero may depth,” she said of Espanto.
