MANILA - Actor and television host Luis Manzano recently rescued a man who got into an accident while riding his bike.
On Instagram on Tuesday, a pastor named Jonas Bernales admitted that he could "not remember a thing" about his major accident but expressed his gratitude towards Manzano, who rushed him to a hospital.
"Thank you to none other than [Luis Manzano] who came to my rescue and became the Good Samaritan. May God bless you a hundred-fold," he wrote as the caption of a photo of his bike that he shared.
In reply, Manzano tagged the doctor who presumably helped Bernales. The "Family Feud" and "Pilipinas Got Talent" host also wrote: "Just say a simple prayer for me, sir, then we are even!"
Manzano's good deed came a day after actor Ian de Leon, the son of screen veteran Nora Aunor and actor Christopher de Leon, was hailed as a hero for rushing a 10-year-old boy who was hit by a motorcycle to a hospital.
De Leon has since downplayed his heroics, saying that a lot of people would have done the same. "Nagkataon lang po siguro na nandun po ako nung nangyari ang accident, kahit sino naman po ang nasa lugar ko, gagawin rin po ang nagawa ko," he said.
