MANILA - A 54-year-old Filipina received a standing ovation from the judges of "Asia's Got Talent" after her performance of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
On an episode of the talent search aired Thursday, Felicitas Garcia, a vegetable vendor from Pasig City, was accompanied by local comedian Moymoy Palaboy onstage.

"I saw her video on the Internet and then I asked her to make a duet with me. It's just that random," said Palaboy, whose real name is James Ronald, after he was asked on how he met Garcia.
Their performance earned rave reviews from the show's judges, which includes 16-time Grammy winner David Foster, UK pop sensation and former Spice Girl Melanie C, Indonesian rock icon Anggun, and Taiwanese-American pop idol Vanness Wu.
Melanie told Garcia: "Are you a fan of Bonnie Tyler? Because, I think she would love you."
Her comment was echoed by Anggun, who said: "I think I like the combo. I like the fact that they had nothing to do with each other. And then that voice, you really rock."
Foster, however, seemed unimpressed with Ronald. He asked Garcia if she would be willing to leave behind the comedian for a chance to move on to the next round of the competition, to which Garcia said in reply: "But he's my partner."
Wu, in an apparent response to Foster's comment, added: "For me, it worked in very strange way. But it worked."
In the end, the duo got the 3 nods needed to move on to the next round.
"Asia's Got Talent," which is the hosted by Filipinos Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez, is the first-ever pan-regional edition of the global "Got Talent" format.
