MANILA -- All's quiet on the Barretto front -- at least as far as sisters Marjorie and Claudine are concerned.
This, according to young actress Julia Barretto, who had wished for her mother and aunt to finally reconcile during her recent 18th birthday.
"Birthday wish come true and prayers answered. Sobrang happy and sobrang peaceful. Lahat ng pinag-pray ko for the debut nangyari. Sobrang thankful ako sa Lord. Thank you, Lord," Barretto said after a press conference for her newest series "And I Love You So" with Miles Ocampo and Iñigo Pascual.
Barretto celebrated her debut last March 10 and invited her aunts Gretchen and Claudine in the hopes that it might pave the way for their reconciliation.
Although Gretchen failed to attend the debut, Claudine was present and was even photographed with erstwhile estranged sister Marjorie.
"Right now, I can say that everything is peaceful, everything is okay," the young Barretto said about her mother and Claudine.
However, she also quickly added: "Pero 'yung mga ganyang bagay na hindi ako involved parang I don't feel I'm in the right position to answer."
