MANILA - Charice said she is set to reunite with international composer David Foster in Singapore, with the singer hinting that they might perform together again.
In a phone interview with ABS-CBNnews.com on Friday, Charice said she has been communicating with Foster, her godfather, since late last year.
She said she will soon fly to Singapore to meet with Foster, who is one of the judges of "Asia's Got Talent."
"Magpa-fly po ako doon para makapag-meeting kami kung ano ang magandang gawin na project. I think he is planning to do some shows here sa Manila, pero hindi pa namin alam kung ano ang ideas. Siyempre, reunite po talaga," she said.
Charice and Foster parted ways in 2011 after the latter moved to Universal Records.
The singer, stressed, however, that nothing has changed in their personal relationship.
"Wala naman po kaming problema sa mga ganoon. Kahit anong nangyari, nag-iba man ang label niya ay iba pa rin 'yung personal na relationship namin. Ninong ko siya at 'yung relationship namin na parang ganoon talaga -- kapag nage-email ako sa kanya sumasagot siya agad, lagi niyang sinasabi na magkita kami, ganyan. So ngayon lang nakahanap ng time kasi busy din siya. Ngayon, nakahanap ng right time para makapag-usap," she said.
Charice went on to say that she welcomes the idea of a concert tour with Foster and other international acts.
"Okay naman po ako. Siyempre, may ibang bagay na tulad ng negotiations, like kung magtu-tour siya ulit ay dapat brand new set of songs para 'di magsawa ang tao. I know he will agree. If he wants to do, for example, a tour again, babalik siya rito, kailangang kakaibang show naman para iba ang makita nila kaysa sa last time.
"I know alam niya iyon. Basically 'yung meeting na ito ay siyempre, magka-catch up muna kami sa mga bagay-bagay, magkukuwentuhan muna, and probably doon kami magi-start kung ano ang pwede naming gawin," she said.
Last week, Foster said he is open to collaborating once again with Charice, who recently made headlines after a video of her singing her version of the "Frozen" hit "Let It Go" became viral.
Meanwhile, Charice said she might ask Foster's help for her upcoming album.
"Probably I will have my friends arrange songs. Siyempre, kukuha ako ng ideas from David, pero gusto ko maging independent. 'Yan ang nauuso ngayon especially sa States, ang mga nagre-release ng album sila-sila din mas may freedom... Hopefully if I ask him to help me [he will]," she said.
