MANILA -- It was not too long ago when SB19 appeared on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" and expressed how excited they were for what would have been their first-ever fan meet this March.

But due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread in the country --the Philippines has 52 confirmed cases as of Thursday-- the breakout boy group has been forced to postpone the event.

Referring to their fans, endearingly called "A'TIN," SB19 said: "Our priority is everyone's health. To prevent the spread of the virus, mass gatherings like this event should be temporarily prohibited."

"The new schedule of the fan meeting is not yet decided and we will announce it on our official sites in the future."

The fan meet was scheduled for March 28 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.

This comes after the group also decided to postpone their concert this March 19 at the Araneta Coliseum.

A new date did not accompany the announcement.
