MANILA - Seven powerful women are joining forces for a project that will soon come out on ABS-CBN’s digital streaming platform, iWant.
On Tuesday, Dreamscape announced that it has gathered together Angelica Panganiban, Cherry Pie Picache, Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, Joanna Ampil, Ice Seguerra and Cherie Gil to star in a series to be directed by Andoy Ranay.
“Don’t Call Me Tita” is co-production between Dreamscape and Heaven’s Best. Its release date has yet to be announced.
When asked to share some details about the series, Picache said: “Hindi mo nai-imagine na sa ganitong edad, meron ka pang nadi-discover and ibang nalalaman at nagpapaganda sa buhay. It’s about that. New discoveries, new things that you learn.”
Dizon also teased that the release of this show is very timely.
“Ngayon kasi 'yung mga kababaihan, we are more concerned na hindi na lang basta 'yung inaalagaan natin 'yung pamilya natin. Hindi na dun natatapos. Now we have careers, we have our voices. It’s time that we are represented,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Ampil explained why she considers this show a dream come true.
“Matagal ko na sinasabi na I want to do something like this. It is an honor to be amongst amazing women,” she said.
Panganiban shared the same sentiment, saying she has been friends with most of the castmembers and that they have long been wanting to work together.
