MANILA - Claudine Barretto took to social media to express her disbelief over the passing of comedian Chokoleit, who is her good friend.

Chokoleit, whose real name was Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, was featured regularly in ABS-CBN movies and shows, most notably in 2004's Kapamilya fantaserye "Marina" headlined by Barretto.

Posting a video of one of their bonding moments, Barretto said: “Mamimiss ko to!”

She then asked the comedian if he could hug late actor Rico Yan and late director Wenn Deramas for her when he sees them in heaven.

To end her post, Barretto said: “Thank u Choko isa kang LOYAL na kaibigan. mahal na mahal kita at d kita makakalimutan kahit kalian.”

Chokoleit passed away aged 48 on Saturday night. In a statement, Star Magic said: "Chokoleit was performing in an out of town show in Abra, and experienced difficulty in breathing after his performance."

The comedian was rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital, where he succumbed to pulmonary edema and heart attack, his attending physician Dr. Rosauro Seares said.

Since the sad news was confirmed, tributes from Chokoleit’s colleagues in the entertainment industry continue to pour in for him.
